Emile Henry Large Cork Storage Bowl, Creme

This bowl is a gorgeous addition to your kitchen but also serves two very practical purposes.  The upper level is made of cork and serves as a fruit bowl.  Cork’s natural properties help preserve fruit; keeping it fresh for longer and keeping pesky fruit flies at bay. The lower half of the bowl is made of Emile Henri’s beautiful ceramic and functions as a mini pantry to store potatoes, onions, beets and other root vegetables.   The ceramic body keeps the light out, the holes in the bowl add air circulation, and along with the insulating properties of the cork lid,  help to maintain a constant temperature, similar to an old fashioned cellar.    The exterior dimensions of the bowl are 114.1” diameter and 6.2” tall.  Inner dimensions are 13.5” diameter and 3.94” without the cork lid.  Its capacity is 6.9 quarts.
