Goldie by Sourhouse provides just enough warmth to keep a sourdough starter consistently in the “Goldilocks Zone” of 75-82°F, where it is the most active and healthy. No need to worry about finding a spot in your home with that temperature range or warming up the whole house to satisfy your sourdough starter.
The Goldie with its attractive cloche occupies a small footprint on your kitchen counter and has the capacity to hold up to a quart sized jar. It features an auto-warming on/off switch, a simple 3 zone thermometer (with blue, gold, and red lights) to help bakers understand their starter’s behavior and anticipate the time to bake, and a Sourhouse Cooling Puck that will cool down a starter in a too hot room in preparation for baking.
The glass cloche and cooling puck are dishwasher safe. To clean the warming base, simply wipe with a moist sponge, cloth, or paper towel.
