For Vintage wines (wines 10 years old and up) or for bottles that appear to have a fragile cork the narrower vintage needle is the sure choice! We do not recommend using the standard needle for vintage wine or wine bottles with a fragile cork. The pour will be slower but a fine wine is worth the few extra moments to pour. A little anticipation adds to the flavor!
