The Number 08 pocket knife is the flagship of Opinel’s pocket knives - featured in museums, books, and galleries around the world. It is 7.5” open, 4.25” closed, with a 3.25” Swedish Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel blade. This stainless steel has outstanding sharpness and cutting ability as well as good corrosion resistance due to added chromium and manganese. Made with a convex grind, the blade is incredibly strong and is given an extremely sharp cutting edge during sharpening. The handle is made of beech with a varnish that protects against humidity and staining. The Virobloc safety ring (a feature on all Opinel folding knives) locks the blade in the open or closed position, for safety during use or transport. This is a very convenient size for carrying with you every day. Hand wash only and leave open to air dry. Colors vary. Made in France.
