The 10 Million Anniversary name refers to a phenomenon in which gas rises like a red flame from the edge of the sun. Shun’s logo is laser etched in “Platinum” color on these beautiful knives. The two blade shapes included are the Chef’s 8” and the Utility 6”. Each limited edition set has its own serial number and comes in a beautiful aluminum foam-lined case with a handle. The high carbon stainless steel Damascus blades and comfortable D-shaped Pakkawood handles will give you years of precise and effortless slicing. Dual Core blade steel provides strength, rigidity, and amazing edge retention. The 71 micro-layers of alternating VG2 and VG10 stainless steel are etched and polished with a unique blade pattern. Each knife comes in a custom fitted leather sheath with an embossed Shun logo. The stainless steel bolster and end-cap also feature an embossed Shun logo. Handcrafted in Japan.
