The Vegetable or Asian 7 inch Cleaver from Hammer Stahl's collection features a wide, rigid blade for chopping, shredding, pounding or crushing. This knife is versatile enough to slice and dice and its wide flat blade is handy for cleanup. The edge is slightly curved to accommodate a rocking motion when slicing. It has a hollow ground blade which provides air pockets which reduce friction and allows food to more easily fall away from the blade.
