Butter Bell keeps butter fresh and spreadable on your kitchen counter without refrigeration, spoilage, or odors - always the perfect consistency for spreading evenly on bread, etc. The two-piece design has an inverted bell-shaped lid and crock base which is attractive on your table for serving butter. To use, pour ⅓ cup cold water in the base of the crock and pack softened butter firmly in the lid. When you replace the lid into the base, an airtight seal protects and preserves the butter’s flavor and freshness. The crock keeps butter at the perfect spreading consistency by reflecting outside heat as it insulates and cools the butter. Change the water every few days. It holds 1 stick or cube of butter (½ cup).
This design is modeled after the original French beurrier, with butter and beurre (French for butter) in a raised relief pattern on opposite sides of the crock. Butter Bell crocks are made of a proprietary, high-grade ceramic mixture that is fired at 2200°F for a beautiful scratch resistant finish.
